Ferrari 550 Water coolant pipes 10/01/15

The Ferrari 550 is a great car, exceptionally tough and great fun, but they must be cared for correctly. The coolant pipes in the centre of the V are subject to a lot of heat sink from the engine, this pipe needs replacing every 4 to 6 years, if they are left and they are allowed to fail they certainly go with a bang...they explode water inside the engine bay and to the driver the view is that of and exploding engine, make sure you get them changed and upgraded.
